Antonio Conte has confirmed that Oliver Skipp's surgery to repair a pubis injury went well. Out of action for three months, as he tried to work his way back to fitness, Tottenham confirmed on Tuesday that the midfielder had travelled to America to go under the knife.
A key player in the middle of the park for the Lilywhites since returning from such a successful loan spell with Norwich City, the head coach had hoped to have Skipp back in time for the run-in but the player, unfortunately, suffered a setback. Now out for the final five games of the campaign, Conte has confirmed that the youngster will be back in time for pre-season.
"I have spoken with the doctors and they said to me that the surgery was OK, it went well," revealed the Italian in his pre-match press conference. "For sure, Oliver will be ready for pre-season, for next season. It's a pity because don't forget that we lost two players in Skipp and Tanganga from January.
