Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has stated that he would like to see Harry Kane sign a new contract in north London. Penning a six-year deal back in the summer of 2018, the England captain is now in the final two years of his current contract.
Looking on course to leave 12 months ago with Manchester City keen on his services, the 29-year-old in the end remained at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and is now flourishing under Conte. With question marks over what comes next for the player, the boss has admitted that for him the most important thing is seeing Kane very happy and totally involved in Spurs' season and their project.
"My opinion is only one of a million opinions," said the 53-year-old. "To force the club, to tell the club 'sign a new contract for Harry Kane' because we are talking about a world-class striker and a player who in this moment is the most representative player for Tottenham, no?
