Greg Stewart believes Rangers should bring in Antonio Colak this summer.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is keen on a move for the PAOK hitman with reports in Greece saying a first bid has been booted out. A second approach for the 28-year-old is understood not to be imminent but interest remains in the former Malmo man.
Former Light Blues ace Stewart has opened up on the qualities the Croatia international has in his locker. He fired home twice as the Swedes knocked Steven Gerrard's side out of the Champions League qualifiers last summer.
His two strikes have both been labelled as top class by the former Aberdeen and Kilmarnock man and while things have not went to plan in Greece he believes he clearly has talent.

Providing the lowdown on the potential Rangers summer recruit, Stewart told the Scottish Sun : “I remember Colak from the game at Ibrox. He got Malmo’s two goals and played really well on the night, especially when they went down to ten men.
“That’s never easy for a striker because you can become quite isolated, but his performance was really good and the two finishes were top class.
“For his first, he worked a nice one-two and then got himself some space in the box, and the finish across Allan McGregor into the bottom corner was superb.

“For the second one, he did a nice turn when he had two men on him and got his shot away. That showed the quality he has. Colak is a Croatia international as well, so he’s a good player.
“Things might not have worked out for him in Greece but he’s obviously got talent.
“Rangers will want to be in the Champions League, and need another quality striker to add to what is already there.
“Since all the problems they had in 2012, the club have been keen to get back to that level and play against the best teams in Europe.
“The team, management and fans all had high hopes of getting there last season, so those results against Malmo were a big blow. Rangers still went on a great run and got to the Europa League final in Seville, which was a great achievement.
“Over the last four years they’ve held their own in Europe and shown they are more than a match for good sides, which has helped raise the profile of the club again.
“Players from abroad especially will have noticed what Rangers have done in recent years, and they’ll want to be part of a successful team.
“So that run will help bring in quality players because this season that’s what they need.”
