Anton Du Beke begs 'please stop' as he addresses BBC Strictly 'mole' on ITV Loose Women

Anton Du Beke has addressed the 'mole' that has been throwing Strictly Come Dancing into chaos every weekend. The BBC One dance contest has been dazzling audiences once again with its 20th series beginning last month. The likes of Helen Skelton, Will Mellor, Hamza Yassin, and Kym Marsh have been impressing with their moves in the ballroom.

But as fans of the hit show know, Saturday night's live show, where we get to see the couples perform their latest routines, and the results show are both filmed on the same night but the latter isn't actually shown on screen until Sunday evening. As well as featuring the dread dance-off, the floor is usually graced by a musical guest and the professional dancers for a spectacular group routine.

And with there being an almost 24 hours gap between the live show and the results, the exit is being leaked early. And fans of the show usually take Twitter to express their outrage over the leaked result. It has reportedly left bosses trying to search for the mystery leaker in a bid to combat the issue.

Strictly did used to do two live shows in a weekend - doing the results in real-time on a Sunday. However, it has previously been revealed that this was changed in 2008 because then host, the late Bruce Forsyth was struggling with doing two nights in a row, at the age of 80.

Judge Anton has now called on the ‘Strictly mole’ to stop spoiling the show results before they are broadcast. When asked by Ruth Langsford about the alleged spoilers during his latest appearance on Loose Women on Tuesday (October 18), he said: "It gets on my nerves. Please stop. You know who you are, please stop. Don't do it. Why would you do it?"

The show's former longest-standing professional dancer went on: "The audience, like the people who go to [Agatha Christie murder mystery play] The Mousetrap for example, which has been going for years, we’re all in it together. Knowledge is power and all that sort of stuff, everyone has an agreement we won’t say anything, so I don’t know who does it."

Anton joined the Loose Women panel when his was quizzed on the show's 'mole' (ITV)

Anton then reiterated his calls: "They call you a spoiler for a reason - because you’re a spoiler. Don’t do it… Try to stop spoiling it please, because people don’t want to know."

Anton was on Loose Women to talk about his latest book and also his recent win at the National Television Awards. The dancer was left stunned when he was awarded the Talent Show Judge gong at the showbiz bash last Thursday (October 13), seeing off competition from David Walliams, Mo Gilligan and RuPaul.

The star took to the stage to accept his award and talked about how pleased he was to have received this honour. "I can’t tell you how delighted I am. I’m overwhelmed, really, because everybody knows how much I love the show… and I’m so proud to have been on the show since the very beginning,” he said.

He added: "Everybody on the show is the best of the best and I'm eternally grateful to everybody at home who voted for me, of course, and all the viewers. They’re such an integral part of the show and without them – the viewers voting – it doesn’t work. I’m eternally grateful, and I’m very lucky."
