Anton Du Beke has hit out at the Strictly Come Dancing 'mole' who leaks the results of each week's public vote before it airs on the BBC, urging them to stop 'spoiling' the show.
While the BBC still try top keep up the pretence that the results show air live on a Sunday evening, the reality is very different, with the result reveals and subsequent dance-off and judges' decisions recorded just hours have rolled on the Strictly live show every Saturday. Strictly fans in the know have been staying up late on a Saturday night for years now, knowing that they'll be able to find the result by way of a spoiler that is shared on Twitter.
That means that by the time the results show actually goes out on BBC1 on a Sunday night, with hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman and the judges all changing outfits to maintain the illusion of a 'live' show, the eliminated couple have in fact already been out of the show for close to 24 hours, forced to keep their fate a secret from fans.

The Strictly spoiler has become part and parcel of each new series of the loong-runni8ng programme but, as he appeared as a guest on Tuesday's Loose Women, Anton said it's a tradition he's far from fond of. Joining former Strictly dance partner Ruth Langsford on the lunchtime talk show, he launching a scathing attack on the person responsible.
Presenter Ruth remarked: "There's been a lot in the papers this week about the Strictly mole. A lot of people are angry about it. The result of who's gone out is being leaked." Before Ruth had the chance the finish, Anton interrupted: "Please stop. Don't do it, why would you do it?!"
Panellist Linda Robson questioned: 2Will that be the audience that are there watching the show?" with Anton, who won the TV Judge accolade at last week's National Television Awards, replying: "I don't know. Nobody knows who it is. The audience, like the people who go to The Mousetrap for example, has been going for years and we're all in together.. Knowledge is power and all of that and everyone has a sort of agreement that we won't say anything., so I don't know who it is.
Addressing the person responsible added: "But they call you a spoiler for a reason, because you're a spoiler. Don't do it. But then the other option of course is, don't read it."
