A guest on Antiques Roadshow was left in shock after she carried two plates to the show in her handbag - then discovered their potential value. The woman was left in tears when she learned just what the crockery was worth.
John Sandon spoke to the guest in an episode of the daytime BBC One show. The glass and ceramics specialist, a regular on the programme for more than 35 years, looked at the two unusual plates.
Viewers could see the expert was interestred in the white, unusually shaped plates, which had a blue outline and images across them. He told the guest "they're very peculiar", the Mirror reports.
