An Antiques Roadshow guest was left speechless after their family heirloom was given a record-breaking seven-figure valuation. Antiques expert Geoffrey Minn was left in awe of the stunning item brought onto the BBC One show by a member of the public, the Mirror reports.
He identified the item as a Faberge sculpture of a pear blossom that had belonged to the Worcestershire army regiment. Explaining the history of the military unit, the guest said: "It was formed in 1794 to protect the shores against a Napoleonic invasion.
"It was agreed that the regiment should serve only within the United Kingdom. However, in 1899 when the Boer War was going badly, it was decided that some of [the regiment] as volunteers would be mobilised.
