An antique Glasgow 18 carat gold pocket watch is set to fetch over £2,000 on eBay.
The Swiss-made watch, which dates from 1890, was sold by retailer R Stewart of Glasgow, who had stores on Argyle Street and Buchanan Street.
The listing notes that it is in 'very good overall condition and excellent working order' despite its age, and would make 'a lovely addition to any collection'.

It reads: "The plain, 18 carat gold case is stamped "18C" and "0.755" for 18 carat gold, alongside Swiss control marks and the serial number 46550. The inner cuvette (dust cover) similarly marked.
"The very good quality, Swiss made movement is signed by the retailer "R Stewart, 122 to 134 Argyle Street and 2 & 4 Buchanan Street, Glasgow". The watch is stem wound and pin set.

"The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock. The watch measures 49mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 98.2g."
The listing has a 'Buy it Now' price of £2,250 for anyone that may be keen to add it to their collection.
