Antimalarial compound hailed as ‘exciting step forward’ in fight against disease

Scientists have hailed a new antimalarial compound as “an exciting step forward” in the worldwide fight against the disease.

The compound was discovered by researchers at the University of Dundee, who said it has the potential to simplify dosing regimens for the treatment and prevention of the illness.
