Anti-terror gates on Oxford Street will prevent cyclists riding through Sadiq Khan's 'pedestrian plaza'

Terrorist-proof gates are likely to be erected across Oxford Street - and could help prevent cyclists riding through its soon-to-be pedestrianised area, The Standard has learned.

London mayor Sir Sadiq Khan’s £150m plan to part-pedestrianise the street and create a “pedestrian plaza” is expected to result in changes on the ground by the end of summer after he gave the formal go-ahead last week.
