On Tuesday, more anti-government protests took place in Israel as demonstrators demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the release of remaining hostages in Gaza. The protests, held in front of the parliament building in Jerusalem, drew several thousand people and marked the third day of a four-day series of demonstrations. These protests are considered the largest anti-government gatherings since the conflict between Israel and Hamas began on October 7.
One of the protesters, Einav Zangauker, who is the mother of a hostage in Gaza, directed strong criticism towards Netanyahu. She accused him of being responsible for the situation, stating, 'You are a pharaoh who brought us the plague of the firstborn. You failed. You nurtured and raised Hamas. It is your fault that my son Matan is in captivity and being tortured there.' Zangauker further expressed her disappointment in Netanyahu's leadership, claiming that he had turned against the people of Israel and labeled those protesting as traitors.
