An anti-drug campaigner in the North Indian state of Punjab was shot dead inside a chemist shop while he streamed a confrontation with its owner live on Facebook.

Parvinder Singh, known as Jhota, was killed in Mansa early Tuesday 13 October 2026, and four of his companions suffered bullet wounds.
