Anthropic Is Outgrowing Household Names. Its Revenue Now Beats Starbucks And McDonald's Combined

Anthropic has reached an estimated annual revenue run rate that exceeds the combined annual sales of Starbucks and McDonald's, underscoring the rapid growth of enterprise demand for generative artificial intelligence tools.

The AI startup is generating an estimated $71 billion in annualized revenue according to data compiled by AI investment research platform Funda and highlighted by analyst Tae Kim in his Key Context newsletter. The figures were also reported Monday by Axios, which noted that Anthropic now accounts for roughly 60% of the combined annual revenue run rate generated by Anthropic and OpenAI.
