Former Ireland footballer Anthony Stokes - who is charged with drug and motoring offences - has been remanded on continuing bail after he appeared before a court this morning.
The ex-Premier League player, of Wyckham Point, Dundrum in South Dublin, is charged with having cocaine for sale or supply, simple possession of the drug and four counts of dangerous driving after he was allegedly pursued by gardai between Crumlin and Chapelizod in Dublin on January 6.
This morning, Garda Radoslaw Konczewski told Dublin District Court, he further charged Stokes with four extra motoring charges of having no driving licence, no insurance, failing to produce his driving licence and failing to produce insurance within ten days of allegedly being stopped on January 6.

Gda Konczewski told Judge Michele Finan 34-year-old Stokes made "no reply" after caution.
The prosecuting garda said there are no objections to bail and requested bail be extended on the original charge sheets.
However, the garda asked for two conditions to be placed on the new bail bond - that Stokes provide the address where he resides and a phone number.
"So far he is providing different addresses and none are valid," Gda Konczewski told Judge Miriam Finan.
When asked by the judge "has Stokes a history of not being found," Gda Konczewski replied: "No." The judge then refused to put the conditions on the bail.
Stokes’ solicitor Lorraine Stephens told Gda Konczewski "You can contact myself."
A disclosure order was granted to Ms Stephens and the case against Stokes has been adjourned until December 14 pending directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Stokes, who spent several seasons playing for Celtic, was dressed in a black jacket, black and red jumper and black jeans, did not address the court during the short hearing.
