Anthony Joshua has said he has held “proactive talks” with Saudi Arabia boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh about a future fight.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) the 34-year-old confirmed the news, quote tweeting a post from Alalshikh, which included a photo of the pair with Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn.
The two-time former unified world heavyweight champion suffered a fifth-round knockout loss to IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois in a stunningly one-sided fight. He confirmed after the loss that he would continue in the sport, before suggesting he remains in pursuit of a third world-heavyweight title.
It was the fourth loss of Joshua’s boxing career, but it appears as if he is not yet ready to call time on it yet.

Thank you to all my supporters who came to the fight, I appreciate you all 🙏 https://t.co/0ujGVJDFQO
Hearn earlier this week hinted the 34-year-old could come up against either Dubois in a rematch or head into a headline-grabbing bout against one of long-term rivals Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder.
