Anthony Joshua backed after threatening to break students' jaws in bust-up

Anthony Joshua has been told he gave a group of university students a valuable life lesson after threatening to "crack their glass jaws".

Footage surfaced this week of Joshua lecturing a group of Loughborough University students who had reportedly heckled him. In the 16-second clip, Joshua is heard saying: "Remember you’re running your mouth because when I start cracking your glass jaws, none of you will like it. Watch your mouths because you don’t know who you’re talking to sometimes."

Joshua has been training at the University as he gears up for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, which is not officially announced but pencilled in for July 23. Despite the violent threat 'AJ' made to the students, the former heavyweight champion has been told he did the right thing.

“I think he’s absolutely right,” talkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan said. "I think that there’s kids in this society who think they can say things on social media, run around doing precisely what they want and they can replicate it in society.

WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE

Anthony Joshua gave them a life lesson. He told these kids you can’t say what you want to say to people. You can’t just say these things and not be accountable for it. Whatever I think of Anthony Joshua as a legitimate heavyweight champion of the world, he’s entitled to respect.

“Can you imagine these little snot-gobbling kids taunting you out the window and the former heavyweight champion of the world stands in front of you and says, hold on a second you, you’re going to say this to the wrong person one day and that person is going to show you what a glass jaw looks like."

Joshua's longtime rival Tyson Fury was quick to respond to the video, teasing 'AJ" by writing: ""I have this effect on the best of them". It's unclear what the students were taunting Joshua about, but Jordan thinks it'll teach all of them a future lesson that their words can have consequences.

“I think that’s an incredible life lesson,” Jordan added. "They might remember that particular situation where a former heavyweight champion of the world said ‘watch what you’re saying and who you think you’re saying it to.

"'You’re not sitting in your mum’s bedroom with your pants around your ankles being rude to people that are famous, you’ve got the real deal in front of you.’ I admire him for doing it.”
