Anthony Joshua has 'agreed terms' to fight Tyson Fury on December 3, according to his management team 258MGT.
Due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, it was agreed that communications would come to a halt as they await a response from the Heavyweight champion.
However, this means that the super-fight between two of the biggest British heavyweights has moved a step closer in what has been years in the making.

In a tweet, 258MGT said: "Joshua- Fury update: 258 and @MatchroomBoxing can confirm, on behalf of @anthonyjoshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3rd last Friday.
"Due to the Queen’s passing, it was agreed to halt all communication.
"We are awaiting a response."
Joshua returned to the ring last month in his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk but couldn't overcome the Ukranian and was beaten on points, handing him a third blemish on his professional record.
The Gyspy King, on the other hand, until recently was plotting his retirement before calling out Usyk and Joshua following his win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in April.
Taking to social media, the 34-year-old said: "AJ, I still haven't heard from you. I am going to do a video every hour for the full day, until you agree or don't agree. And just to clarify, there has never been a December 17 fight, ever. There's only ever been November 26 at Wembley or December 3.
"This is it AJ, Eddie - don't get scared now. Agree to the fight and lets give the fans what they want. Go time.
"AJ if you wanted this fight, you would say it and just do it. Lets give the fans what they want. Take the fight.
He added: "This is the Tyson Fury party. You are just an invited guest to the party, you can't dictate what you want. You take my offer or you leave my offer."
