- Sir Anthony Hopkins , aged 88, has released an orchestral single titled “Bracken Road”, marking his musical debut.
- He is set to release a 12-track classical music album, Life is a Dream , next month after signing with Decca Classics.
- Hopkins said that music was his “first desire” and he has “composing music all my [his] life”, with some pieces living with him for decades.
- His debut track, “Bracken Road”, was inspired by his childhood in Port Talbot , Wales, and was first composed in 1963 while he was a young actor.
- The album will feature original recordings of compositions spanning six decades, performed by Gustavo Dudamel with the Philharmonia Orchestra .
