The Los Angeles Lakers are 0-5 and in desperate need of a win, any win, to start getting on track.
One factor in their winless record is health. Center Thomas Bryant and guard Dennis Schroder have missed all five games with thumb injuries. Forward Troy Brown Jr. missed the first three contests with a back injury, and Anthony Davis was out on Friday with a lower back ailment.
Without Davis, L.A. simply had trouble putting the ball in the basket. It shot 41.6% from the field in its 111-102 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Fortunately, he will suit up on Sunday evening versus the Denver Nuggets.
Anthony Davis is officially playing tonight, per the Lakers.

The Lakers will certainly need him to play and do well, as they will have to contend with Nikola Jokic, the reigning two-time regular season MVP.
Davis is averaging 24 points on 52.7% shooting, 9.5 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.3 blocked shots per game so far this year.
