Ant McPartlin was left raging at an I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! fan after they suggested Michael Jackson is signed on for the next series of the ITV reality show.
Ant and co-host Declan Donnelly helmed another nightly Instagram Live on Wednesday evening, after Babatúndé Aléshé became the fifth star to be eliminated from the 2022 camp.
The pair were reflecting on the campmates’ poor form with the Deals on Wheels challenges this year, which has seen them miss out on seven out of 10 of the possible treats.
The campmates have had abysmal luck with getting the questions correct, leaving Dec labelling them ‘officially the worst at the challenges’ after they missed out of a batch of cookies.
However, Ant then interrupted their discussion when he glanced at the replies to their Instagram Live and saw one viewer had posted Michael Jackson’s name as a suggestion for the 2023 line-up.
Standing up, Ant fumed: “Right. Wow. Wow. Michael Jackson on next year? Well considering the man is deceased, I don't think that's going to happen son.”
Dec then began imitating the controversial late pop icon as the pair returned their discussion to the jungle and the elimination of Babatúndé after the comedian ended up in the bottom two with Seann Walsh.
As he took his seat in the treehouse for his post-exit interview, Babatúndé was so excited that he spilled his glass of champagne.
Following his exit, Babatunde told hosts Ant and Dec that he was thrilled to be out of the camp after two and a half weeks.
He said: “It's been crazy to see it because living in it is a whole new experience. Spending two and a bit weeks in there is hardcore. All we do is talk about food.”
He said: “I thought it was going to be a trainwreck, I've been dreading each and every trial.”
He told Ant and Dec: “I feel like I'm more scared of toads now than I was. I knew it was going to come, I thought if I made it far I'd have to lie in a box with a bunch of toads, when they came in I thought , ‘You guys are evil!’”
As he bid farewell to his campmates, Babatunde said: “You guys have made me feel brave. I've conquered two of my biggest fears, which is frogs. I know it's hilarious but I hate those little demons, and heights.
“And every single last one of you, I'm going to cherish for the rest of my life. This has been the best experience I've ever had. Thank you to everybody.”
I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
