Ant & Dec reveal I'm A Celebrity twist as star takes on trial already seen this series

Ant and Dec delivered some huge I'm A Celebrity news, as they revealed a Bushtucker trial already seen in this season will be repeated, in a show first.

The hosts said that the Boiling Point challenge, which saw radio DJ Chris Moyles only collect one star, will put a campmate to the test once again – and it has since been revealed that Owen Warner is the lucky celeb to face the trial.

Speaking on their Instagram Live after yesterday's show, the pair said it will be interesting to see what happens.

Dec, 47, told followers: "The breaking news is that today's trial is Chris' trial that he got one star in – we're going to do it again!"

Ant, 47, then said: "So this'll be interesting if someone comes down and does the trial and does it well and goes back to Chris and says 'Oh yeah look I got all the stars!,' how gutted is he going to feel?"

The ill-fated challenge saw Chris enter a boiler room which led him into a series of tunnels that were filled with cockroaches and water.

The Radio X presenter then had to duck underwater and attempt to unscrew stars from the floor with spanners.

However Chris struggled with being able to hold his breath for long enough to get the stars.

In one disastrous moment he dropped the stars he had collected as he didn't tie the bag tightly enough.

The gutted celeb only collected one star, and consequently one meal, for his campmates.

Speaking to Ant & Dec after the trial, Chris said: “I can’t go back to camp. They’ll all say really nice things and every single one of them will be lying.”

On returning, Chris said: “It’s really not good news and I’m really sorry. I got one star. To make it worse I got two and it fell out of my bag.”

The celebs were given a bony fish, while vegetarian Boy George was given one mushroom, as Chris once again apologised.

During the Instagram Live, Ant & Dec also announced a rule change to the trials.

Dec said: “I think it will be a new face at the next trial because when it goes to them, they're now not allowed to do the trials two days in a row so somebody else has to do the trial today, so it'll be someone new.“

Today it has been confirmed that Owen is set to take on the Boiling Point challenge, which will see him tackle cockroaches and dark corners.

In a teaser clip for tonight's show, Ant and Dec challenge Owen to head into an underground pit to retrieve the meals for camp.

As he heads into the terrifying unknown, the soap star says to the duo: "See you on the other side", before walking into the dark abyss.
