Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have confirmed they've both got Covid-19, meaning they won't be able to present Britain's Got Talent magic spin-off show, or attend the National Television Awards tonight (Thursday).
The pair joked that "we even get ill together" on their Instagram page, while BGT judge Amanda Holden gave fans a glimpse of the upcoming two hour special Britain's Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician.
Ant & Dec said they are "so sorry" not to be attending tomorrow's NTAs, and shared a photo of their positive tests on their official Instagram page.
Sharing the snap on their Insta Story, the pair wrote: "After feeling unwell a few days ago we both tested and we're positive for Covid...
"We're resting up at home and are so sorry we can't be at the @officialntas... Best of luck everyone... and get well soon to anyone else in the same boat."
Ant & Dec have won best TV present at the NTAs for twenty years in a row, and they face competition this year from Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh and Graham Norton.
Stephen Mulhern stepped into host the BGT one-off spectacular, which will see Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams return as judges.
The show will bring together the world’s most memorable and greatest magicians from past series to compete and become the ultimate champion and win £50,000.
Simon Cowell, who is filming in the US, has been replaced by magician Penn Jillette for the show.
Earlier on Wednesday Amanda shared a glimpse of the set for the magical evening, with the judge's names hanging above the stage, in classic BGT form.
An old fashioned clock and clouds were projected on to a screen on the stage.
A BGT spokesperson confirmed that Ant & Dec weren't able to film the show, saying: "Ant and Dec are both unwell and have postponed all work commitments until they recover.
"Sadly, this means they were unable to film Britain’s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician. Whilst we wish them a speedy recovery, we are thrilled to confirm that BGT’s favourite magician, Stephen Mulhern has stepped in."
The BGT special was filmed in front of a live studio audience on Tuesday and will see 10 acts compete for the prize.
Speaking about taking part in the show, Penn Jillette said: "Being a guest judge on BGT is going to be the cushiest job ever. They’ve gone all around the world to find the most astounding magicians, and I get to sit and watch and be amazed. I cannot wait!”
A line-up has not been confirmed but favourites invited back could include Marc Spelmann and Richard Jones.
Proud army-man Richard won season 10 of the show in 2016 and went on to compete in The Champions spin-off in 2019.
Marc reached the semi-finals in 2018 and received Ant & Dec's Golden Buzzer, later appearing on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020.
