Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway viewers make same request during show

Many people watching Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend took to social media to make the same request.

The Geordie presenters returned tonight for another edition of the popular ITV programme. Southport-born comic Lee Mack joined as the guest announcer for Saturday's episode.

They were also joined by Stephen Mulhern, who was dressed as a huge yellow drill. Andi Peters was back for another round of 'I Can See Your Thing', where viewers are encouraged to get involved - as they could win a holiday.

Dec beat Ant in the "Ant v Dec" segment, which saw the two racing go karts and taking on an obstacle course. Ant had to admit defeat, and said: "Dec is the best at go karts, I was actually quite good at the other one. Dec is the best, he won Ant versus Dec. That's it. We don't need any more."

It was the last episode of the series, with next Saturday's ITV listings showing Romeo and Duet - a new talent and dating show fronted by Strictly's Oti Mabuse - will take its place. Many fans were saddened that the programme was coming to a close, and called for more episodes.

Taking to Twitter, Claire Dono said: "Wish it was on more I will miss it". Whisper63 said: "Please make more episodes! It goes far too quick!"

Mark Aaron said: "Please renew ya contract for three more years boys I'll be in tears tonight!" [sic]. Andylov29 said: "We all love the show and never miss an episode. We need more Ant & Dec and Stephen on our TV", and Nikki Hunt said: "Gutted it's the last show of the series! Hurry back!!".
