Ant and Dec were forced to miss out on glory for I'm A Celebrity at Thursday's National Television Awards s it won the first award of the night.
As it has done many times before, the long-running ITV show triumphed in the Best Entertainment category, beating Ant and Dec's own Saturday Night Takeaway, as well as Taskmaster and The Graham Norton Show. Sadly Ant and Dec weren't in the 12,000 strong crowd in Wembley to pick up the award, after revealing they had Covid on Wednesday evening.
Sharing a photo of two positive lateral flow tests on social media, they wrote: “Sadly it's true, we even get ill together! After feeling unwell a few days ago, we both tested and we're positive for Covid. We're resting up at home and are sorry that we can't be at the @officialntas. Best of luck everyone and get well soon to everyone else in the same boat."

I'm A Celebrity 's early win at the NTAs received a warm reaction in the room and it was down to reigning champion Danny Miller to give the acceptance speech, mentioning Ant and Dec straight away, before joking that he wasn't sure why their Takeaway co-star Stephen Mulhern didn't pick the trophy up on their behalf.
Danny also thanked the rest of the cast and the crew, with the crew having a particularly tough task to contend with in 2021 as Storm Arwen battered the I'm A Celebrity set in Abergele and forced the celebs to be evacuated from the castle and put into isolation, before returning a few days later.
Danny ended his speech by wishing the team best of luck in Australia, when the show returns to the jungle Down Under for the first time in three years.
