Ant and Dec were missing from the National Television Awards tonight despite winning two awards.
I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here was nominated for The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award. Going up against Taskmaster, The Graham Norton Show and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway the jungle show was declared the winner.
Hosted by the Geordie duo, normally they would hop up on stage and accept the award. However, due to covid they were missing.

Accepting the award on behalf on Ant and Dec, this year's winner Danny Miller gave a speech. He said: "Wow. I always said to Adam Thomas I'd get up here and do a speech one day.
Just on behalf of Ant and Dec who unfortunately have covid so can't be here tonight, and Stephen Mulhern is in the crowd so I'm not sure why he hasn't accepted the award on behalf of them... However, I'd just like to say on behalf of all the crew and the cast, fellow campmates as well, although we had to have an evacuation I think I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of the production staff."
He went on to thank everyone for voted as well as Ant and Dec "for making the show what it is."
Later on, Ant and Dec were also announced as winners of Best Presenters for the 21st year in a row. However, it is the first time they had not been there to collect the award.
Instead, Stephen Mulhern stood in for them. He jokingly put his own name over theirs on the plaque as he sauntered off the stage with a smile.
