Ant and Dec ‘jump out’ of a helicopter in new I’m A Celebrity... trailer

The trailer for ITV’s I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 dropped on Friday (October 14) and shows hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly ‘jumping out’ of a helicopter and parachuting into the Australian jungle.

The duo, who are set to welcome 12 new famous faces into camp in November, appear terrified in the pre-recorded clip, but it’s soon clear that the pair’s Mission Impossible-style antics have been done by stunt doubles.

The video shows a helicopter in flight as Donnelly is heard asking: “Where’s the luggage going?”

To which McPartlin shouts back: “It’s meeting us there,” before reminding a hesitant Donnelly: “Remember, wherever I go, you have to go.”

“This is Alpha Tango and Delta Echo Ciabatta coming in hot,” he proceeds to shout into a headset, before jumping into the air.

A worried Donnelly then says: “Oh, I wish I had never signed that thing. Get me out of here!”

The show’s theme tune then kicks in as the pair glide into the jungle, with the words “We’re Back” printed on their parachutes.

The comical clip comes on the heels of the duo confirming they have tested positive for Covid-19 and subsequently skipping the National Television Awards.

The pair were therefore not present to collect their award for Best Presenters, which is their 21st consecutive win, at Thursday’s ceremony.

They were also forced to cancel their hosting gig on Britain’s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician.

I’m A Celeb... is returning to the Australian jungle for the first time in three years.

The show was filmed in Gwrych Castle, in North Wales, due to travel restrictions caused by the pandemic.

The 2021 series saw Danny Miller crowned King of the Castle.

A host of well-known names have signed up for the upcoming series, including singer Boy George, radio DJ Chris Moyles, and former Love Island star Olivia Attwood.
