Ant and Dec are said to have inspired ITV bosses to commission a brand new drag show after the huge reaction to their fierce and fabulous makeovers on Saturday Night Takeaway.
Millions of jaws hit the floor back in February when, at the end of the first show of Takeaway's new series, the Geordie presenters were transformed into new alter egos Lady Antoinette and Miss Donnelly to perform alongside winners of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. Ant and Dec shared a stage with The Vivienne, Lawrence Chaney and Krystal Versace to lip sync to charity track We Werk Together, which quickly shot up the iTunes charts, just as ITV viewers were flocking to Twitter in their droves.
Fans were full of praise for not only Ant and Dec's stunning makeovers but the impact of seeing them in drag on primetime Saturday night TV and the message of the song could have on those watching at home, particularly those afraid of being themselves. One woman was left in tears as she thanked the lads for what they did while, when asked by the presenters what their stand out moment was from Saturday Night Takeaway, many were quick to tell them they needed to bring Lady Antoinette and Miss Donnelly back.

Well now, it is being reported by The Sun, that the huge reaction to Ant and Dec's drag performance and the ongoing success of Drag Race UK on the BBC, has inspired ITV to commission Queen of the Night, a one-off primetime show that will see a host of celebs transformed and each given a drag mentor ahead of strutting the stuff on stage.
A source told The Sun: It's set to be one of the funniest shows this year. Producers can't wait to see the acts perform. Everybody is staying tight lipped about the judges and contestants but some of those being considered would leave jaws hanging."
At the moment Ant and Dec are on screen in the new series of Britain's Got Talent, which has proved to be a big ratings winner for ITV yet again. And, four episodes in, fans are still waiting for them and judge Alesha Dixon to hit their Golden Buzzers.
