Ant and Dec confirm exact date of Saturday Night Takeaway return at end of Limitless Win

Ant and Dec have confirmed the exact date Saturday Night Takeaway will be back on TV, just as their new programme Limitless Win came to an end.

After giving ITV its highest viewing figures for the Saturday night prime time slot in a year, the Geordie duo's high stakes game ended its first series this weekend.

And what a final episode it proved to be as one pair of contestants, looked set to win the biggest cash prize to date, only for them to miss out £1 million and end up leaving with nothing.

Ant and Dec were left absolutely gutted by the outcome but they were smiling at the end when the final players of the series managed to get their hands on £75,000.

Then, right before credits rolled and the hosts revealed that Limitless Win was returning for a second series, Ant and Dec told viewers watching at home they would be back in two weeks with Saturday Night Takeaway.

That means that the award winning show will return on Saturday, February 19.

Ant and Dec's announcement came after a trailer from ITV teased that Takeaway would be back in February, but without revealing the precise date.

The preview saw Ant and Dec feature in highlights from last year, with the voice over claiming: "It's 90 minutes of live television performed by consummate professionals who can handle anything."

Tweeting the clip, Saturday Night Takeaway's official account wrote: "It’s the show that needs no explaining… and it’s BACK! See you on the telly this February on @ITV and ITV Hub."

Viewers were left very excited during Takeaway's last series when Ant and Dec reunited with their SMTV pal Cat Deeley for a Chums reunion.
