The safety net for the Jets if they don’t land Aaron Rodgers is quickly disappearing. First, it was Derek Carr signing with the New Orleans Saints. Now, it’s Jimmy Garoppolo joining the Las Vegas Raiders, per multiple reports.

Garoppolo may not have ever been a serious option for the Jets, but he still would have been a solid fallback option after Rodgers and Carr. That option is gone as the Jets continue to sit back and wait for Rodgers to make his decision about playing in 2023.
That sound you hear is the panic meter steadily climbing.
