Anonymous donor gives $1 million to nurses to pay student loans

An anonymous donor gave $1 million to help nurses repay student loans at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, after recognising the care they provided during several hospital stays. The donation offered financial relief to nurses facing education debt alongside family responsibilities and other expenses. In the first round of assistance, all 179 nurses who applied received grants of up to $3,600. The initiative later extended beyond Lankenau Medical Center, with donations supporting nurses at three other hospitals in the Main Line Health system. By March 2026, the four hospitals had received donations totalling $4.26 million, helping 706 nurses with student loan costs.
