The film, based on Robinne Lee's novel, follows the story of a 40-year-old single mother, Solène Marchand, who embarks on a romance with a 24-year-old boy band member, Hayes Campbell, portrayed by Nicholas Galitzine.
Galitzine shared his excitement for the project on Instagram, revealing that filming had wrapped up in December 2022. Hathaway, in addition to her work on The Idea of You, is also involved in other projects like Mothers' Instinct and Eileen. She recently reunited with her The Devil Wears Prada castmates, including Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep, at the 2024 SAG Awards where they entertained the audience with a skit referencing the iconic film.
