Annan couple celebrate arrival of New Year baby

An Annan couple are celebrating the arrival of their baby born on New Year’s Day.

Carrie Solonyna, 26, and her partner William Wilson, 28, welcomed their little daughter Lexie to the world on Sunday afternoon. Lexie was born at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, weighing 9lbs 5oz.

Her mum Carrie said: “She is our first child and her due date was on December 29 but she decided to wait until New Year’s Day. We are both besotted with her.”
