Timing is everything for a star striker so Tommy Muir is delighted to return to Annan to help pal Steven Swinglehurst celebrate his testimonial year.
The popular hitman scored 24 goals in two seasons the last time he was at Galabank and will boost the front line for the new season.
Muir said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be back.
“I’m really looking forward to working under Peter Murphy and his staff again and just can’t wait to get started.
“I’m excited to play with some of my good friends again, it will also be extra special with it being Steven Swinglehurst’s testimonial year.”
Manager Murphy was delighted to get the deal done early and told the club’s official website: “We’re delighted to welcome Tam back to the club.
“His desire to return and battle it out with the strikers was there to see during the discussions.
“He wants to improve and he believes he has unfinished business at the club and that can only be a good thing for the squad.
The striker returns to the club after leaving to join Stenhousemuir then spending last season at League Two rivals Stranraer.
