Love Island beauty Anna Vakili has revealed that she had a secret abortion when she was 21, which she puts down to missing out on sex education.
The 31-year-old TV star who had an abortion 10 years ago, claims her parents banned from sex education at school.
Chatting on her and her sister's podcast, Sisters in the City, which she hosts with sister Mandi, Anna divulged: "I feel really scared to open up about this, but I think it’s important to do it because I learnt from my own mistake.
"And if other people can learn from my mistake then it’s the best thing to come from this.
"When I was younger – about 21, I was having unprotected sex - I don’t know what I was thinking. I wasn’t thinking, and I ended up pregnant."
She added: "Obviously I was really young and I wasn’t ready, and I had an abortion.
"At that age you don’t think what can happen and I have deep regrets that I did end up pregnant.
"I didn't wish to be pregnant and have to get an abortion – I don’t like that. So if you can avoid that – do."
She then gave an insight into how she practices safe sex today, adding: "Ever since then I’ve practiced safe sex and I’m now on the coil."
Anna then went on to say that she was pulled out of sex education class at school because her parents did not sign a consent form.
"In school the teachers sent a letter home for our parents to sign to say if it was ok for us to sit in sex education, and my parents didn’t sign it.
"And it was the most embarrassing thing ever because the teacher took me out of the class when they did sex education.
"I was the only person, apart from one other Asian or Middle Eastern person. I’ll never forget that - it was so traumatising."
This revelation comes one month after Anna opened up about her nightmare bum lift surgery and how it almost killed her.
Anna and her sister Mandi spoke on their podcast last month about how they flew to Turkey to get the bum lift operations carried out, revealing that they were trying to be thrifty and get it done on a budget.
Anna said on the podcast: "A Brazilian butt lift is a fat transfer where they take fat from other parts of your body and they put it into your bum.
"When we first did it, it was really good. We went to a really good place in London, a reputable surgeon, recovery... good. Minimal scars.
"I don't regret that first one. It made me feel better, it made me feel more confident."
Anna then said: "We went to too far when we did it again."
Mandi chipped in and said: "We ended up like Frankenstien. The second time we went, we wanter a cheaper option so we went abroad. Do your research thoroughly - if it's cheap, it's cheap for a reason."
Explaining the situation further, Anna said: "The second time we did it, we went abroad to Turkey and me and Mandi thought we were going to die abroad. It was very scary.
"After our surgery, within a day or two, we were in a hotel room about to faint with blood all over the hotel room.
"It was like a murder scene, we both collapsed in hotel room. Bandaged up, bleeding... it was like a horror movie."
