Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell's family revealed that she struggled to accept the reality of her terminal illness as she battled stage 4 cancer last year. In a recent episode of “Mama June: Family Crisis,” concerns were raised about Cardwell's refusal to acknowledge her prognosis. Despite being informed by a doctor that she had a limited life expectancy, Cardwell reportedly had difficulty coming to terms with the severity of her condition.
Her family expressed frustration over her reluctance to address important matters such as arranging insurance policies for her two young daughters. Cardwell's sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, highlighted the challenges they faced in trying to help her prepare for the future. Tragically, Cardwell passed away at the age of 29 in December 2023, leaving behind her daughters, Kaitlyn and Kylee.
