The Scottish SPCA' s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre has made a public appeal for dog food and bedding to be donated.
The centre has cared for almost 300 dogs since the beginning of 2022 and is now running dangerously low on tins of wet food, as well as vet bedding which is used for nursing mums and animals who are in recovery.
Anyone in a position to donate can purchase from the centre’s Amazon wish list here or via any other online retailer offering direct delivery to the charity.

Centre manager, Gillian Boyle, said, “We are in need of essential food for the dogs in our care.
“We are in need of tins of wet food to keep dogs like Moose happy and healthy while they wait to find their forever homes.
“We are also running low on vet bedding. We use this bedding for nursing mums and animals recovering from surgery.
“Your support means that we can continue to provide the best possible care for the animals at our centre.
“We’d be so grateful for any donations that people can spare and we know the dogs will be too.”
Items can also be handed in daily between 1pm and 4pm to the reception at the Scottish SPCA Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0SB.
