Angry Asda customers hit with fines and 'threatening letters' in car park row

An Asda shopper has been left disgruntled after they were fined for a stay of five hours in the store's car park despite just nipping in for more than one five minute visits in a day.

Returning to the store after forgetting an item, several Lancashire residents found themselves slapped with hefty charges. Some were able to successfully challenge the bill but many have said that the situation caused them 'huge stress and inconvenience'.

LancsLive spoke with a number of annoyed Asda shoppers, while many more took to social media to express their outrage towards the parking system. Most were furious about not being able to visit the same place twice without being fined.
