Several Eurovision fans across Europe claim they're having issues voting for their favourite acts by phone or via the official Eurovision Song Contest app. The vote opened as soon as the acts finished performing and immediately, millions of viewers called the number for their favourite act - with some immediately taking to Twitter to say the voting system doesn't work.
British viewer Kimmy Minx said: "Managed to vote once for #croatia but lines too busy now for anyone else as I try #germany #Eurovision wtf." Another viewer, Maria Malmö said: "Voting from France (+33) doesn't work!" while viewer Jake Sokolov said: #Eurovision your app doesn't work. I've ranked my favorites several times, but it resets every time I exit the app."
Fellow Eurovision fan @Mika94609975 sad: "Stemmen songfestival werkt niet. [Voting doesn’t work.] #songfestival #Eurovision2023".
Sven Lybaert added: "Voting through app doesn’t work…always receive sms message ‘content not alwd’…#rigged".
Sander @sandervdheijden added: "VOTING DOESNT WORK IN NL ???? #eurovision."
Whilst there's no official statement on Eurovision's social channels, a message has appeared on television screens. It read: "Lines are busy. Please keep trying."
