US President Joe Biden has warned the lives of American women are now at risk as he joined those reacting with sorrow and anger to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn abortion rights.

The ruling Friday overturned the landmark 1973 Roe v Wade decision and subsequent cases which had guaranteed a federal constitutional right to an abortion in the US for nearly half a century.
