Ange Postecoglou warned over Celtic injury crisis excuse as Parkhead hero claims there is no 'serious jeopardy'

Celtic's injury concerns have been a hot topic as the players return to Glasgow's east end in time for a return to domestic football.

The international has drawn to a close, and it may not have come soon enough for the Hoops. Ange Postecoglou will have his player availability list decreased as his side welcome Motherwell to Parkhead on Saturday. The boss will likely provide an update on his side's injury concerns ahead of the Premiership clash, but there is much uncertainty surrounding the fitness of a number of stars.

Daizen Maeda was spotted despite injury concerns, with Giorgos Giakoumakis joining Cameron Carter-Vickers, Sead Haksabanovic, Carl Starfelt on the Parkhead worry list. But despite potential limited squad, Mark Wilson insists the current Scottish champions have more than enough to be victorious as they return to domestic action. Speaking on Clyde 1's Superscoreboard on Thursday, he said: "It is never a crisis, they've got so much to pick from.

"You want your strongest squad available but Ange Postecoglou was going into these games, when Celtic were on a terrific, quite happy to change things and bring players in. They've got a few injuries, four or five injuries, and they are missing for the weekend so their bench will be diminished.

"So, of course it affects you in a certain way, but I've no doubt Celtic have got the quality and should beat Motherwell easily on Saturday. Their home record in the speaks for itself, I feel that they'd need a lot more injuries the suggest that that would be in serious jeopardy."
