Ange Postecoglou has reportedly reached a "verbal" agreement with Tottenham Hotspur on a two-year deal while sources close to the London outfit claim an announcement could be made within the next 48 hours.
The Hoops are bracing themselves for a formal approach from the English Premier League outfit with the 57-year-old having already said to have informed Parkhead chiefs he wants to go south and Record Sport revealing he is keen on taking John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan with him. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano says "understand Tottenham have finally reached a verbal agreement with Ange Postecoglou as next manager. Been told it will be a two-year deal with an option included for a further season, so potentially valid until June 2026. Next step to get it done: find a way with Celtic."
It is claimed by BBC Sport Scotland that a "well-placed source close to Tottenham" has said "not only will this happen, but the deal is pretty much done and expect something said in the next couple of days." Postecoglou will make the switch "all being well" and "as early as the middle of the week" is when he could be spotted with the Spurs scarf above his head.
Since arriving at Celtic in 2021, the Aussie has won five of the six domestic cups available. He will now take on the task of a Tottenham rebuild after their calamitous Premier League campaign finished with them in eighth.
