Ange Postecoglou teases Celtic injury returns as he admits 'I've only had this squad for a couple of days'

Ange Postecoglou says it's been nice to have a large Celtic squad to pick from - but the Hoops boss says he's only had it this week.

The Australian watched on as his team built on their one-sided 3-0 romp against Rangers with an equally-convincing 4-0 win at Motherwell.

Graham Alexander's Steelmen hadn't lost at home in Premiership action since Halloween but a Tom Rogic double and Liel Abada strike before half-time put an end to that.

Daizen Maeda added insult to injury with the final Celtic goal in the second half to move them four points clear at the Premiership summit.

Postecoglou was able to make three changes from the side that beat Rangers and key players like Jota, Josip Juranovic and James Forrest were all rested.

Kyogo Furuhashi and David Turnbull are out injured, but Postecoglou told Sky Sports: "It's only the last couple of days that I have had this squad.

"We are very pleased. It wasn't easy with the conditions. Credit to the players. We started the game and took our goals well. We dominated the game.

"I hope people aren't thinking I have got this easy all of a sudden but this is why I wanted to build this squad. It's pleasing we got some players back.

"Hopefully we get a few more over the next couple of weeks. We are going to need it as we want to maintain the level of performances we have and improve them."
