Ange Postecoglou has given a detailed insight to landing the Celtic job as he opened up on his chat with Dermot Desmond.
The 57-year-old was named as Neil Lennon's successor last season when attempts to land now Newcastle boss Eddie Howe didn't go to plan. Since then the Aussie boss has established himself as a real fans' favourite, enjoyed great success in the transfer market, won the Premiership title from Rangers and Premier Sports Cup in his first season and really built up his reputation.
The Aussie has now opened up - in great detail - on the zoom calls that ultimately landed him the gig at Parkhead. Desmond's knowledge of the manager really impressed him in what he described as both 'reassuring' and 'really important'. Postecoglou was offered the job following two different meetings in a whirlwind that he couldn't quite believe as he brilliantly offered update from his end of the interviews and what was going on in his family home at the time.
