Ange Postecoglou's Celtic press conference in full as Hearts 'progress' poser shot down with hilarious quip

Ange Postecoglou hilariously shot down suggestions that Wednesday's clash with Hearts can be used to measure Celtic's progress.

And the Parkhead boss also joked that he simply "doesn't have time" to list all the injuries his side are dealing with.

Celtic travel to Gorgie on Wednesday and it's their first visit to Tynecastle since they fell to a 2-1 defeat in Postecoglou's first Premiership game in charge.

But they have faced twice since at Parkhead, with the Hoops winning in the Premier Sports Cup and in the return league fixture.

So when Postecoglou was asked if he'll be using this fixture as a barometer to measure his team's progress, the Parkhead boss simply laughed it off.

"This is the fourth time we've played them," he said. "When does the statute of limitations expire on a fixture?"

The reporter then corrected himself, explaining that it's their first away clash with Hearts since that opening day encounter.

And Postecoglou went on: "Ah OK, so what's when it expires? Thanks for that.

"Obviously it was a different start for us. There's no point regurgitating everything that went on at the time, we knew the situation we were in and what we had to deal with.

"Players coming in and going out, it was a less than settled period for us.

"We performed OK on the day and lost narrowly. It wasn't a great way to start the league.

"We're a different team now, and we have been for quite a while to be fair.

"It's the fourth time we've played them so we know what we're going to get."

Celtic will be without Callum McGregor for Wednesday's game after he sustained a facial injury against Alloa.

Yosuke Ideguchi will also miss out and David Turnbull and Kyogo Furuhashi are among the long-term absentees.

Postecoglou was asked for an update on who is definitely out and he joked: "We don't have time, mate.

"Liel Abada's fine, he's available from the other night.

"Callum's out, and no-one else is really coming back, out of the ones who have been missing so far. From that perspective, there's no real change."
