Ange Postecoglou insists Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis 'not on his radar' as Atlanta United move still not complete

Ange Postecoglou has claimed Instagram users will find out about about the departure of Giorgos Giakoumakis from Celtic before he does.

The Parkhead boss told a press conference before his sides trip to St Johnstone on Sunday that the Greek striker was no longer "on his radar". The 28-year-old remained in the east end of Glasgow at the end of the transfer window but different deadlines in Japan and the United States mean he can still wrap up a move to suitors such as Uwara Red Diamonds and Atlanta United.

The MLS side is currently leading the race for the striker's signature, however the J League outfit could come in with a last minute offer to change his mind. Postecoglou has already signed a replacement for Giakoumakis with South Korean international Hyeongyu Oh coming in from K League side Suwon Samsung Bluewings. Since signing on the dotted line the forward has made two substitute appearances against Dundee United and Livingston. He has so far failed to bag a goal for the champions but he will be hoping to on Sunday against Callum Davidson's side.

Speaking at the media conference, Postecoglou said: "It will get concluded fairly soon. To be honest, it's not on my radar any more. I will probably hear it about the same time as you guys. Maybe, if you are on Instagram, you will hear about it earlier than me. It's not on my radar, I don't expect him back in the group, but it hasn't been finalised yet."
