Ange Postecoglou hands out Celtic chances as youth trio set for Sydney Super Cup experience

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Bosun Lawal, Scott Robertson and Rocco Vata will go with Celtic to the Sydney Super Cup.

The Australian is taking his Premiership champions to his homeland for friendly matches against Sydney FC and Everton during the World Cup break. Aaron Mooy, Daizen Maeda and Josip Juranovic won't be there as they'll be at the major tournament in Qatar but the rest will be down under ahead of returning to the domestic game in December.

It'll be a strong squad Postecoglou brings with him to Australia and 19-year-old defender Lawal, 21-year-old midfielder Robertson and 17-year-old attacker Vata will all get a chance to show they're worthy of more first team minutes in a competitive environment. The Celtic manager explained: "We will take a couple. Bosun Lawal will come with us and Rocco Vata will come with us on the trip.

"Scott Robertson is going to be going too so it's those three who will come across. Some of the the other younger ones, they have had a really hectic period as well.

"They have been playing in the UEFA Youth League and in the Lowland League, so it will be good for them to have a break

"Some of them will be selected for their national team at youth level which I think I think for their development is really good. So we'll take those three to Australia and they'll get some game time, which will be good for them."
