Gabby Agbonlahor has taken aim at Ange Postecoglou after Tottenham's second-round exit from the EFL Cup.
The former Aston Villa and England striker has told the Australian to "know his history" following the result at Craven Cottage.
After a 1-1 draw, Fulham went on to win the tie 5-3 on penalties. It saw Postecoglou lose his first game in charge of Spurs having gone unbeaten in the first three matches of the Premier League season.
The former Celtic boss made wholesale changes for the cup game in West London. He made nine from the weekend win over Bournemouth.
So, despite Spurs' bright start in the league, defeat means they're already out of one of the two domestic cup competitions. It's been 15 years since the club last lifted major silverware.
And Agbonlahor insists Postecoglou got it wrong by making so many unnecessary personnel changes.
He told talkSPORT: "Things have started well at Tottenham but the thing for me is he should know the history of the last few seasons with Spurs. When they've rested players, they've got knocked out.
"Last season, they rested Harry Kane and got knocked out of the cup. You're in such a good moment at Spurs, you've got no European football, just play your best team and take players off (if you're winning).
"Why not play Maddison and Son, and rest Kulusevski and Bissouma? Mix it up a bit. Making nine changes... it's the same players that cost Spurs.
"Sanchez isn't good enough, Lo Celso is okay, Ben Davies has been a good servant but isn't good enough anymore. Oliver Skipp, I don't think he's at the standard for Spurs. Hojbjerg wasn't great last night either.
"Maybe this is the chance for him to look at his squad and think 'my starting 11 is very good, but the rest of my bench isn't good enough’.
"When he looks back at the team he selected, he'll feel like he made a mistake.
"And he'll understand sooner or later that the Spurs fans demand a trophy soon, and they're already out of one that they could've won."
