Ange Postecoglou defuses loaded Celtic question Down Under as TV host probes 'will you really be here in November?'

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is adamant he only has Celtic on his mind when probed over whether he will still be around to lead his side out in the Sydney Super Cup.

The 57-year-old is adored by his Parkhead public for the mammoth rebuild he executed within 12 months en route to Scottish Premiership title glory. But his success in Glasgow has led to him being namechecked for high-profile English Premier League jobs such as Brighton and Leicester City. Former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers remains in charge at the King Power Stadium but Postecoglou's work in Scotland isn't going unnoticed.

And there have been plenty of opportunities Down Under for Postecoglou to reaffirm his stance, with his long-term future catching the attention in Australia. The Celtic manager is back home to promote his side's looming trip for four-team tournament, which includes a clash with Frank Lampard's Everton.

And Postecoglou was happy to reinforce his love for Celtic and give interviewer Waleed Aly short shrift when asked about potentially exiting Celtic. Speaking on Australian TV, Aly probed: "Will you really be here in November? The rumour mill is rife, that you'll be off to the Premier League, coaching Leicester City which, by the way, would be a fantastic triumph. So you'll be over there. Probably in a couple of weeks. yeah?"

But the Celitc boss was unequivocal in his response.: "Don't read too much into it, Waleed, 12 months ago, I was the favourite to get the sack by Christmas, mate, so things change pretty quickly in football, I am really happy where I am, it's a massive football club, Celtic Football Club, we play in front of 60,000 people every week as you've seen. We have opportunities to win trophies, we are in the Champions League, I am loving it at the moment. I am living the dream, I am exactly where I want to be. and looking forward to bringing more success to the club."
