Scott Brown has branded Ange Postecoglou's Celtic recruitment as 'exceptional'.
The legendary Hoops skipper had already decided to depart the club by the time the 57-year-old arrived through the doors at Parkhead but he did face up against the Aussie boss while part of Stephen Glass' set-up at Aberdeen before going out on his own and taking his first managerial challenge south of the border at Fleetwood Town.
The former Celtic star has impressed in his first dugout gig with the Cod Army sitting mid-table in English League One while he created history with a stunning FA Cup run that ended in the fifth round in heartbreaking circumstances against Championship run-away leaders Burnley - a cert to return to the riches of the English Premier League.

Brown still keeps a close eye on his former club and has been impressed with the top talents that have arrived through the doors. Callum McGregor is a mainstay in the team but the likes of Aaron Mooy, Reo Hatate, Jota, Kyogo Furuhashi, Matt O'Riley, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Joe Hart - to name a few - have all arrived in Scotland and made instant impacts.
The ex-Parkhead captain said: “His recruitment has been exceptional. There’s been a lot of British people coming to the club from England as well. But he’s got great recruitment.
“I know he was over in Japan and he would have seen and understood what they are like.
“You can see how well the players that have come over and bought into his understanding of the way he wants to play football.”
