Ange Postecoglou admits he's "buzzing" to return to Celtic Park after hailing a successful pre-season tour. The Premiership champions rounded off their summer trip to Austria and the Czech Republic with a 4-2 victory over Banik Ostrava.
Four Celtic goals stole the show in a friendly hotly contested in front of a packed, noisy crowd for the Czech side's centenary celebration. Postecoglou was impressed by the atmosphere and turnout but predicted Celtic fans will raise the bar when their heroes return home for a meeting with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
The manager told Celtic TV: "Yeah, buzzing. Great to hear these guys sing but our guys will bring it to another level, so I'm looking forward to that." Strikes from Kyogo, Matt O'Riley, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Liel Abada provided a pocket of travelling supporters with value for money in an entertaining encounter.
And Postecoglou reckons his players, too, will get real bang for their buck on the fitness front from a hardworking trip across the continent. He said: "It was a cracking atmosphere and they're still going! Obviously, it was a big occasion for the club and it's great for us to be a part of it. It gave the feel of a real contest. It was a great exercise for our guys. The game was OK, we started a bit slow and in general we were a bit sloppy with our passing.
"But the flipside of that is we had some good moments. It was another good game for us. It's been good (the tour). The key thing is we've got some training in and most of the guys have got decent match minutes and we've got no significant injuries.
"From that point of view, it's been a really good camp. For the players in general, they've come back in with a good attitude. The dressing room still feels like it's got a lot of energy, which is great."
